― Rating: 4 Stars ★★★★ The Forgers are the BEST FOUND FAMILY！ Vol。 7 delves more into the characters which we love to see。 As the main arc comes back into focus， this latest volume builds on our faves like Damian Desmond， son of the main antagonist， Franky and Yuri！ In addition to a couple unexpected duo missions， Anya trying to win a special macaron， and comedic shenanigans as always， this series delivers comedy page after page leaving you even more obsessed with the dynamic cast！Loid's mission ― Rating: 4 Stars ★★★★ The Forgers are the BEST FOUND FAMILY！ Vol。 7 delves more into the characters which we love to see。 As the main arc comes back into focus， this latest volume builds on our faves like Damian Desmond， son of the main antagonist， Franky and Yuri！ In addition to a couple unexpected duo missions， Anya trying to win a special macaron， and comedic shenanigans as always， this series delivers comedy page after page leaving you even more obsessed with the dynamic cast！Loid's mission to infiltrate Donovan Desmond's circle does build a bit more in this volume after a heartfelt talk between him and Damian （also can we just talk about him？ because he just wants his father to be proud and notice him）。 His chapter POV delves more into the expectations he's put on himself， but also seeing how his father's absence and view of his son has impacted him truly shows even more in this volume。 With the cast back in their own element， it was nice to see them with their own arc around the town （Yor on a bodyguard mission？ Yuri and his work with the sss， Anya at school， hello？！ LOID AND BOND ON A MISSION TOGETHER pls give me more！）Though something about this volume I'm theorizing about Damian has me conflicted （view spoiler）[ I can totally see after the camping arc （and talking with his friends） he will probably have to choose between his & his father's path along the way。 Realizing he's not like his father *most likely he'll maybe join the Forgers， I can see that as a possibility but I'm just left impatient because that arc is something I've noticed too early and will be sold on that theory for sometime until later chapters prove otherwise！！ （hide spoiler）]Damian's camping arc was nice because it delved into a message I feel like is always a nice reminder about shutting off your brain once in a while and how that's a nice refresh for the mind creatively， etc。 And hello can we talk about Loid/Twilight and Bond doing that heist for Mission 40 and the misunderstandings there， I love them so much #BestDuoHowever I noticed with these last couple volumes its more like side stories and I'd love for the next couple of volumes to delve back into the main story or atleast build on it more。 I don't mind because the characters are all incredible but I'm just starting to be more interested in knowing more backstory & Operation Strix。I actually didn't mind that the Forgers weren't together too much because that last arc of the cruise has me hopeful there'll be more secret identity， comedic moments happening and will definitely be waiting to see what happens next！❥ Spy X Family Vol。 6 Review 。。。more

This was a fun volume where the mangaka chose to focus on the side characters that have been introduced in this series more so than the main characters though they of course still make appearances throughout the volume。 I enjoyed another fun volume from this slice of life， comedy-action series。

I've been working on reading more Graphic Novels and Manga so that I can add more to the library collection next year。 Spy X Family was a recommendation from my students， so I've been working on reading the previous books and was super excited to see Volume 7 available。 What I really like about this series， and this volume in particular is that I feel like we get really good insight into a lot of characters。 Being newer to the series I was worried that I would have trouble following along with t I've been working on reading more Graphic Novels and Manga so that I can add more to the library collection next year。 Spy X Family was a recommendation from my students， so I've been working on reading the previous books and was super excited to see Volume 7 available。 What I really like about this series， and this volume in particular is that I feel like we get really good insight into a lot of characters。 Being newer to the series I was worried that I would have trouble following along with the plot lines and some of the side stories， but I really didn't， The writing and pictures really tied everything together in a way that made it easy to get sucked into the story。 As a librarian I love that because it means kids can easily access the story as well。 I think this series may be aimed more for the High School library （and I'll be sending a reccomendation to our HS librarians）- but overall I really enjoyed it。 。。。more

This one feels rather like a filler volume， but I still enjoyed it nonetheless 💗I've always found Damian's sidekicks to be a teeny bit annoying， but they proved themselves to be true friends with Damian in here。 When Damian is punished for missing the morning muster， instead of going out for an outing with the rest of their classmates， they purposely make trouble in order to be punished along with Damian。 And the three of them end up having a picnic of their own with one of the school's staff， a This one feels rather like a filler volume， but I still enjoyed it nonetheless 💗I've always found Damian's sidekicks to be a teeny bit annoying， but they proved themselves to be true friends with Damian in here。 When Damian is punished for missing the morning muster， instead of going out for an outing with the rest of their classmates， they purposely make trouble in order to be punished along with Damian。 And the three of them end up having a picnic of their own with one of the school's staff， and I would say that their adventure had been fun and heartfelt ❤ It's good to see Damian being able to be himself around the other two。And then there's a whole chapter wholly about Bond's adventure， which is really funny 😂 Somehow he ends up partnering with Loid for a spy mission and they turn out to have quite an amazing teamwork！ I do look forward to hopefully seeing more Bond in action， because boy， his talent is really useful ✨What I'm really looking forward next is how Yor is going to continue her secret job as an assassin。 We're finally able to see the "shopkeeper"， although not much is being said about them still， and Yor seems to contemplate whether to continue being the Thorn Princess or not。 I think it will be a shame for Thorn Princess to simply begone， but I understand that Yor perhaps longs for a calm life as Anya's mother and Loid's wife。 Hopefully we'll get to see more insight from Yor's POV soon！ 。。。more
